EIMA GREEN BRINGS 200+ MANUFACTURERS TO BOLOGNA

November 6, 2026

More than 200 manufacturers will present machinery and equipment for maintaining public and private green spaces, with growing emphasis on automation, digitalisation and battery-powered solutions.

As gardening continues to gain popularity and green spaces become increasingly important in urban and private environments, EIMA Green is set to take centre stage at EIMA International 2026, bringing together more than 200 manufacturers of grounds care machinery and equipment in Bologna, Italy.

The dedicated showcase, one of the seven themed exhibitions at EIMA International, will run from 10 to 14 November across Halls 34 and 35, covering approximately 10,200 square metres. It will feature 95 international manufacturers alongside Italian exhibitors, presenting technologies designed for both professional grounds care operators and amateur gardening enthusiasts.

According to FederUnacoma, the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation and organiser of EIMA International, the growing interest in gardening is creating new demand for machinery that is more efficient, technologically advanced and environmentally responsive.

A 2025 survey conducted by market research company GfK found that 64% of Italians engage in plant cultivation, including on balconies, terraces, gardens and urban vegetable plots. The growing interest in gardening, coupled with the recognised therapeutic and environmental benefits of green spaces, is contributing to increased investment in grounds care equipment.

Manufacturers are responding with solutions centred on automation, digitalisation and battery-electric power. The exhibition will feature a wide range of equipment, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers and other machinery for the maintenance of public and private green spaces.

Beyond the machinery displays, EIMA Green will introduce the Green Workshop Area in Hall 34, providing a dedicated platform for industry discussions, conferences and business-to-business engagements. The facility will facilitate meetings between exhibiting manufacturers and Italian and international operators nominated by participating companies.

Several industry conferences are scheduled during the exhibition. These include Circular Value: Turning Grass Clippings and Pruning Residues from Waste into a Resource for Local Communities, scheduled for 10 November at 15:30, bringing together organisations including FederUnacoma, CREA, Coldiretti, Comagarden, Assofloro and Itabia.

Another session, EVA – Energy, Green Spaces, Environment, will take place on 11 November at 11:30, promoted by FederUnacoma and Assoverde in collaboration with CREA. Discussions will also explore regenerative agriculture and carbon farming, examining emerging opportunities and the evolving regulatory environment.

The grounds care showcase will extend beyond the exhibition halls into the outdoor Garden E-motion area, located between Halls 35 and 37. The space will recreate a private garden environment, offering visitors a practical setting to explore grounds care machinery and its applications.

Italian influencer Stefano Accorsi will provide technical demonstrations and insights into the correct use of selected grounds care equipment, following a daily programme being finalised by the organisers.

Through EIMA Green, EIMA International is providing a platform for manufacturers, distributors, professionals and gardening enthusiasts to explore emerging technologies and business opportunities in the expanding grounds care sector.

EIMA International 2026 takes place in Bologna, Italy, from 10 to 14 November.
